Lydia S. Reyna

Lydia S. Reyna, 86, of Fremont, OH entered into rest on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Bethesda Care Center surrounded by her family. Lydia was born on August 6, 1937 to Luis and Nestora (Silva) Herrera in Laredo, Mexico. She married Pedro Reyna on June 18, 1955 in Fremont and he preceded her in death in 1980. 

Lydia was employed at Holiday Inn for over thirty years in laundry and housekeeping. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, sewing, crotchet, cooking, reminiscing on the past and sharing her faith with others. Lydia especially loved her family.

Lydia is survived by her children; Irma (Frank) Celestino, Fremont, OH, Deana (Gary) Gonzalez, Sandusky, OH, Irene (Joseph) Richardson, Westminster, CO, Lorie Ann (John) Johnson, Sandusky, OH, Ricardo (Yolanda) Reyna, Fremont, OH; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pedro Reyna; siblings, Antonio, Roberto, Ralph Herrera and Olivia Reyna.

Visitation will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10-12 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH 43420.

Services will take place following visitation at noon at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.

Memorials can be made in her honor to Bethesda Care Center, Heartland Hospice, TRIPS or donor’s choice.
