Luther M. Auxter, Jr.

Luther M. Auxter Jr, 90, of Fremont, OH, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Elmwood Nursing Home.  He was born on March 9, 1933 in Fremont, OH to Luther M. and Doris (Walters) Auxter, Sr.   

Luther married Cindy Van Dyke on April 13, 1979 in Castalia, OH and she preceded him on March 31, 2017.  He worked for Gottron Brothers Quarry as a truckdriver for twenty-two years and then at Troy Laundry as a truckdriver.  Luther enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to flea markets.

Luther is survived by his daughter, Carla Williams, Fremont, OH; brothers, Daryl Auxter, Larry Auxter, both of Fremont, OH, Elden Auxter, Green Springs, OH; grandchildren, Leal Auxter, Jennifer Legg, Kimberly Good, Heather Fontaine; many great grandchildren; son-in-law; James Coleman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of thirty-seven years, Cindy Auxter; son, Leal Auxter; daughter, Tina Coleman; granddaughter, Judith Coleman and son-in-law, Jack Williams.

A Graveside Service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery on Thursday, February 29, 2024; 2:30 pm with Pastor Gary Click officiating.
