Lois T. Spino, 91, of Clyde, OH passed away on April 26, 2017 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. She was born on May 27, 1925 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Seraphine and Emma (Swint) Horn. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Lois married Carmen J. Spino on August 7, 1949 and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1997. She worked with her husband at Carmi’s Distributing as well at Liberty National Bank and Wendy’s in Clyde. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Fremont Women of the Moose. She enjoyed raising horses and her Schnauzers. She loved to travel with her daughter and was a lover of life. She also loved children and took care of many as her own.
She is survived by her daughter, Teri (Matthew) Morton, Bokarina, Australia; sister, Margaret Callendar, Clyde; step-granddaughter, Tayla Morton, Bokarina, Australia and her dedicated friends, Dr. Tom Olszewski, Kim Diedrich and Anita Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Florence Franks Horn; siblings, Bud, Paul, Jim and George Horn and Betty Mead.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017; 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd. Fremont, OH. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
