Lewis Wesley “Wes” Anderson, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. He was born January 17, 1940 in Bentonville, AR to Jacob Anderson and Oletta (Harris) Gundel.
Wes married Nancy L. Kirchner on April 2, 1960 in Fremont and she preceded him in death on July 20, 2015. He worked at Chrysler in Perrysburg for over thirty-three years until he retired. Wes was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Fremont Eagles and the UAW in Toledo. He loved his dogs, racing and traveling to Tennessee.
Wes is survived by his children, Luanne (Ed) Logan, Jim (Jackie Traxler) Anderson both of Fremont, OH, Pam Anderson of West Virginia; brother, Larry (Karen) Anderson, Woodville, OH; grandchildren, Edward Logan II, Trenton (Brittney) Logan, Juliet Anderson, Falan Franks, Ashley Moreland; granddaughter-in-law, Corrina Logan and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Anderson; mother and step-father, Oletta and Fred Gundel; wife, Nancy L. Anderson, grandchildren, Tiffany Overmyer and Kyle Logan.
Visitation: Monday, February 4, 2019, from 5 – 7 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH. A Memorial service will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home with Deacon Alfredo Diaz officiating.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde, OH at a later date.
