Leonard A. Wilhelm

Leonard “Lenny” A. Wilhelm, 60, of Fremont, OH passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont after a yearlong battle of throat and neck cancer. Leonard was born on August 14, 1964 to Paul L. And Gertrude (Zaleski) Wilhelm in Fremont, OH. 

Lenny worked for Tiffin Assembling Product for over fifteen years until he was diagnosed with his illness and was unable to work. Lenny enjoyed working out, driving around, his pets, pet sitting, spending time with family. He is especially proud of his sobriety and attended AA. 

Lenny is survived by his loving companion of thirty-two years, Jim Woodruff, Fremont, OH; siblings, Paula (Denny) Deppen, Boston, PA, Joan (Tom) Sachs, Ostrander, OH, Sharon (Mike) Chudzinski, Fremont, OH, Larry Wilhelm, Ostrander, OH, D. Bart (Carla) Wilhelm, Napoleon, OH, John (Kathy) Wilhelm, Blythedale, PA, and Steve (Lisa) Wilhelm, Fremont, OH; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. 

Lenny is preceded in death by his parents, nephew Matt McCabe; niece, Karlee McDermitt.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 8-10 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420. 

Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St. Fremont, OH 43420 with Rev. Father Matt Frisbee officiating. 

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
