LaToya K. Minniefield, 33, of Fremont, OH passed away on June 1, 2014 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born January 30, 1981 in Tiffin, OH to Bessie and James Minniefield. She was a 1999 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
LaToya worked at Whirlpool, H.J. Heinz, several other places and her last job was at Jimmy John’s where she was being trained as a manager. LaToya was a people person. She loved kids and babies. She was a member of First Baptist Missionary Church under the leadership of Pastor William Holmes.
LaToya is survived by her mother and father; daughter, Ashanti Elkins; sisters, Velda (Patrick) Jones, Chandra (Tardra) Jones, all of Fremont; Ronda Minniefield, Fort Wayne, IN, Anita (Marvin) Savage, Charlotte, NC, Sheilda Minniefield of Pennsylvania; brothers, James Minniefield, Jr, Columbus, OH, Keith Minniefield, Sandusky, OH, Bobby Walker, San Antonio, TX; Godmother, Shirley Lemley and Nana Joyce Brown both of Fremont; special brother, Chad Wesly, Akron, OH and a host of special uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amajia LeShae Elkins.
Visitation: Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at First Baptist Missionary Church, 1697 Dickinson St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Saturday, June 7, 2014, 10:30 am at the Church with Pastor William Holmes officiating.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorials: To her daughter, Ashanti Elkins, for her college fund or to First Baptist Missionary Church.
