Larry Lee Menkhoff, 82, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 19, 1934 in Gibsonburg, OH to Frederick and Amelia (Ohms) Menkhoff.
Larry served in the U.S. Air Force from April 1, 1952 until March 31, 1956 and was Honorably discharged. He was a Truck Driver for O.L.D. and also for Dick Hurt. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the VFW and a former member of the Eagles. Larry enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Andy Griffith show, the movie Shawshank and many other movies. He also enjoyed listening to the Bee Gee’s and playing the lottery. Larry was a hard worker and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Susan Menkhoff; grandchildren, Brooke (Jacob) Scully and Blayre Menkhoff; great grandchildren, Alerik and Ashlynn Scully; brother, James (Virginia) Menkhoff and sister, Jeanie Lenhart; all of Fremont, OH; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey S. Menkhoff; brothers, Vernon “Buss”, Billy and Gerald Menkhoff and sister, Mildred Pollard.
Larry’s wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
