Kermit G. Giesler, 92, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born August 9, 1928 in Elmore, OH to Frederick and Freida (Beck) Giesler. Kermit served in the U.S. Army. He married Karen St. Clair on July 31, 1954 in Oak Harbor, OH and she preceded him in death on October 21, 2017.
Kermit worked as a machine operator at Kelsey Hayes for many years and retired in 1990. He enjoyed traveling, reading western novels and spending time with his family.
Kermit is survived by his children, Kathleen (Gus) Mathews, Jr., Pittsburgh, PA, Kristina Bradner, Fremont, IN, Karyle Marquez and Kevin (Sheree) Giesler both of Fremont, OH, Kurt (Sheila) Giesler, Roanoke, TX and Karl (Gina) Giesler, Naples, FL; siblings, Russell (Sandy) Giesler, Dallas, GA and Shirley (Ray) Toeppe, Fremont, OH; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and his caregivers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Giesler and seven siblings.
Kermit’s wish was to have no services at this time.
Burial will take place at LaCarpe Cemetery at a later date.
