Kenneth E. Bullinger, 89, of Fremont, OH, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born on February 22, 1927 in Fremont to Blaise and Ludwina (Meyer) Bullinger.
Ken served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).
Ken married Margaret Ann Jones on October 29, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont and she preceded him in death on June 2, 2013. He worked for Ludlow Composites and retired after thirty-seven years of service. Ken attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fremont Moose and VFW. His past times were watching television, reading the newspaper and listening to country music.
Ken is survived by his children, Ruth Bullinger, Fremont, OH, John (Carrie) Bullinger, Redmond, WA; granddaughter, Delaney Bullinger; sisters, Rosemary Zalewski, Toledo, OH, Dolores Schock, Tiffin, OH, Faye Sattler, Surprise, AZ and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret A. Bullinger; brothers Carl and Donald Bullinger.
Visitation: Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 10:00 until Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH.
Services will begin at Noon at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion and VFW.
Memorials can be made to the Ohio Veterans Home or Stein Hospice.
