Karl Raypole, Sr.

Karl Raypole, Sr., 70, of Green Springs, OH passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  He was born on April 17, 1951 in Sandusky, OH to the late John “Jack” and Mary Jane (Carter) Raypole.  Karl served in the US Navy from 1974 to 1977.  Karl married Marion Feasel on March 31, 1976 in Clyde, OH and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2021.

Karl was a supervisor at Chemitrol for many years until he retired in 1998.  He loved riding and restoring Harley’s.  Karl was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing, traveling, feeding the birds and squirrels.  He also loved to spend time with his family and taking his grandchildren to thrift shops.  Karl was a member of the Green Springs American Legion.

Karl is survived by his children, Karl L. (Tamy) Raypole, Jr, Sherry L. (Randy) Simpkins and Melanie (Kirby) Overmyer; grandchildren, Joshua Bauders, Kevin Raypole, Andrew, Kayla and Kasey Simpkins, Aubrey and Carly Overmyer; several great grandchildren; siblings, John Dennis Raypole, Deborah Raypole, Lori Raypole and Mary Villareal.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marion Raypole.

There will be private family services at a later date with a burial to take place at Bakertown Cemetery, Green Creek Township.
