Karen Sue Anderson

Karen Sue Anderson, 76, of Woodville, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH.  She was born on October 25, 1946 in Port Clinton, OH to Ray and Edna (Wendt) Johns.  Karen was a 1964 graduate of Elmore High School.

Karen married Larry Anderson on November 10, 1994 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, OH. Karen enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, golfing, crafting, crocheting especially baby blankets for family, visiting Amish Country, traveling with her husband throughout the US and celebrating all the holidays with family.  She also enjoyed playing board games with the family especially Scrabble with her dear friend Carol. 

Karen is survived by her husband, Larry Anderson, Woodville, OH; children, Robin Harder, Tina Gyde and Terry Harder, all of Oak Harbor; stepdaughters, Vicki (Kevin) Gottfried, Swanton, OH, Teaira (Mark) Rosenburger, Elmore, OH; sisters, Frances Wilson, Holland, OH, Faye (Shorty) Rife, Oak Harbor, OH; sisters-in-law, Karen Ann Johns, Sally Johns; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Joan Siefke, Barbara Sprouse, Bud Johns, Butch Johns and Jerry Johns.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 412 Fremont St., Elmore, OH 43416.

Burial will take place at a later date at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
