June Carol Hinkle

June Carol Hinkle, 74, of Clyde, OH passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. She was born on March 29, 1942 in Thacker Mines, WV, the daughter of Stewart and Anna (Lottes) Chafin. She was a 1960 graduate of Magnolia High School in Matewan, WV.

June married Smith Hinkle on February 17, 1968 in Red Jacket, WV and he survives. She was a Homemaker and enjoyed collecting elephants, playing bingo, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

June is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Smith Hinkle, Clyde, OH; children, William (Sue) Hinkle, Florence, KY, Millie (Dave) Burr and Joseph Hinkle both of Clyde, OH; grandchildren, David Allen Burr III, Samantha Nicole Hinkle, Sarah June Hinkle and Ava Rose Burr; great grandchild, Karlie Nickole Rollins; siblings, George Stewart Chafin, John (Vernie) Chafin and Margaret Lewis. She also leaves many extended family members who loved and will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, George Stewart Hinkle; sister, Elizabeth Gue and brothers, William, James Carlos and Larry Chafin.

Visitation: Friday, January 13, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Services will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Elder Stephen DiMaria officiating.

Burial will take place at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, OH
