Julie L. Buczek, 57, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by her family on January 14, 2023 at Spring Creek in Green Springs, OH. She was born on July 7, 1965 in Fremont to Ted and Cece (Link) Singleton. Julie was a 1984 graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School and Vanguard Career Center for cosmetology. Julie married Tim Buczek on October 9, 1998 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and he survives. Julie and Tim met at Woolens where she worked for six years. She then owned and operated Julie’s Jungle Daycare for twenty years. Julie loved to spend time with family, going camping and swimming. She also loved going to Cedar Point and checking out different fairs. Her biggest love was doing plastic canvas and making her own bears at Build-A-Bear, especially for her grandchildren. Football was often seen on her TV where she was an avid fan of The Ohio State and Dallas Cowboys.
Julie is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, Tim Buczek; children, Justin (Betsy) Goodwin, all of Fremont, OH, JaLisa (Corey) Akers, Jordan (Hunter) Goodwin, all of Gibsonburg, OH, JaShawnna (Brent) Holland, Fremont, OH; six granddaughters, Jewel, JayLeeanna, Jolene, AnnaLisa, Jenavieve, ElliLynn and grandson Jedidiah; siblings, Jackie (Mark) Bielecki, Fremont, OH, Max (Angie) Singleton, Gibsonburg, OH, Toni Singleton, Fremont, OH and numerous nieces, nephews and children she cared for as her own.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Becky Etzwiler and nephew, Travis Druckenmiller.
The family would like to thank Spring Creek Nursing Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care during this difficult time.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
Services will be on Thursday, January 19, 2023, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Ken DeChant officiating.
