Joyce Ellen McCann

Joyce Ellen McCann, 77, of Fremont, OH passed away on December 8, 2023 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, OH.  She was born on November 26, 1946 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Leonard “Slim” and Grace (Hojem) Lindstrom.  She was a 1964 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Bowling Green State University.

Joyce married Jack McCann in 1974 and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1998.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, playing Scrabble, visiting with her family and watching television.

Joyce is survived by her children, James Leonard McCann, Fremont, Kevin McCann, Battle Creek, MI, Sean McCann, Wausau, WI and Kyle McCann; siblings, Doris Hames, Atlanta, GA, Mary Reuben, Minneapolis, MN, David Lindstrom, St. Louis, MO and Amy Howley, Fremont; close family friend, Marie McCourt, Vickery, OH; several grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Orin McCann and brother, Robert Lindstrom.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
