Joseph S Klisz
Joseph S. Klisz, 88, of Fremont, OH passed away on May 4, 2018 at Bethesda Care Center. He was born on March 22, 1930 to Andrew and Kathryn (Socha) Klisz in Fremont, OH. He attended Fremont Ross High School.
Joe married Dorothy Babione on December 2, 1950 at St. Ann Catholic Church and she survives. He worked for Union Carbide for thirty years until he retired. Joe was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a former member of the Fremont Eagles and Moose. He enjoyed playing softball, pool, bingo and cards. Joe also liked bowling and fishing. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan.
Joe is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Dorothy Klisz; children, Steven J. Klisz and Karen Adams; sisters, Sophia Kuzma and Catherine Kritzell all of Fremont; grandchildren, Dawn Adams Martinez and Eric Klisz; three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter, Michael, John, Casmir and Andrew Klisz; sisters, Mary Koller, Sr. Ann Catherine Klisz and Angela Kupka.
The family would like to thank Hospice of ProMedica Hospital, Bethesda Care Center and Dr. Jonathan Diller for the wonderful care they provided for Joe.
Visitation: Thursday, May10, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. A celebration of life luncheon will follow from 2 to 5 p.m. at Anjulina’s Catering, 2270 Hayes Ave., Fremont, OH.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
