Jose G. Rodriguez, Sr.

Jose G. Rodriguez, Sr., 74, of Fremont, OH passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at his home.  He was born on September 2, 1948 in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico to Patrocinio and Socorro (Ghebara) Rodriguez.  Jose served in the Mexican Army.  Jose married Adela A. Aguilar on April 28, 1974 in Fremont, OH and she preceded him on September 16, 2016.  He worked as an oven operator at Nickles Bakery for twenty-eight years until they closed.  He then worked at Woodbridge Corporation for over nineteen years, retiring in 2011.  Jose attended Greater St. James Church.  He enjoyed soccer, antique car shows, fishing, bowling, dancing, singing, boxing and was a coach for the Fremont Wreckers Boxing Club.

Jose is survived by his children, Margarita (Darren Lee) Gonzalez, Fremont, OH, Ester (Ramon) Gallegos, Detroit, MI, Jose (Asia) Rodriguez, Jr., Fremont, OH, Aurora Rodriguez and Jose Luis Rodriguez, both of Mexico; siblings, Maria, Lina, Alejandro, Rodrigo, Yolanda, Eduardo and Estella Rodriguez; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Adela Rodriguez and brother, Rodrigo Rodriguez.

A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023; 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Gibsonburg, OH.
