John Paul Kuzma

John Paul Kuzma, 59, of Fremont, OH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Promedica Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1955 in Fremont, the son of John F. and Hilda (Krantz) Kuzma. John was a 1974 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School where he was Valedictorian and received a full Scholarship to the University of Detroit where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

John married Pattee J. Lloyd on May 7, 1988 at St. Casimir Church in Fremont and she survives. He was the City Engineer for the City of Fremont for twenty-seven years and retired in 2011.

John was a member of St. Ann Church in Fremont and St. Mary’s Church in Clyde where he sang in the Folk Choir. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, reading and was an avid Ohio State fan.

John is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Pattee J. Kuzma; children, Kassandra Kuzma and Keith Kuzma, all of Fremont; siblings, Dorothy Kuzma, Clyde, Lucy (Patrick) Keating, Fremont, Martha (Bruce) Darr, Clyde, Daniel (Faith) Kuzma, Granger, IN; many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his lifelong friend, Raymond Meyer

Visitation: Monday from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm with a Vigil at 7:30 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, December 23, 2014, 10:30 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1021 W. State St, Fremont with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials: St. Ann Church, St. Mary’s Church or School of Hope.
