John “Jack” W. Bartson

John “Jack” W. Bartson, 77, of Fremont, OH passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. He was born on July 30, 1937 in Fremont, the son of Wilbur J. and Marian (Rusch) Bartson. He attended St. Joseph High School.

Jack married Lois I. Albert on September 3, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and she survives. Jack was a Truck Driver his whole life and retired from Waste Management. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 20. Jack enjoyed NASCAR racing and collecting die cast NASCAR models. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson, MO, spending time with his grandchildren and camping at Clinton Lake.

Jack is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Lois I. Bartson, Fremont, OH; children, Wilbur Bartson, Fremont, OH, Terry (Nicole) Bartson, Findlay, OH, Mark (Sue) Bartson, Van Buren, OH, Teresa Harvey, Fremont, OH, Kaylene (Ian) Vardyan, Powell, OH; siblings, Marilyn Sovinski, Fremont, OH, Dolores Webber, Boise, ID, Joe (Lisa) Bartson, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Wyatt and Allison Harvey, Allexis, Brett, Jarrett and Shawna Bartson, Evan and Camryn Vardyan; step grandchildren, Preston and Lauren Wise.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Bartson and Marian Bartson Horn; brothers, Jerry and Jim Bartson.

Visitation: Sunday from 6 – 8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, July 13, 2015, 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH with an hour of visitation at church prior to the service with Fr. John Blaser officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery
