John C. Dukes
John C. Dukes, 65, of Fremont, OH passed away on August 27, 2016 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont, OH. He was born on September 16, 1950 in Laurel, MS to the late Theodore and Phennie Mae (McNeill) Dukes.
John lived for many years in Laurel, MS where he was employed by Budweiser and United Roofing. He then moved to Fremont and worked at Denny’s as a dishwasher. He was a past member of St. Elmo Baptist Church in Laurel, MS and enjoyed shooting pool.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fort Stephenson and all those that prayed for him.
John is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Dukes; nieces and nephews, Montana Dukes, Tonia Dukes and Alexander Dukes, all of Fremont; thirteen great and eighteen great-great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Maurice Moss; brothers, Austin McNeill and Harold Dukes.
Visitation: Saturday from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Saturday, September 3, 2016; 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Private Burial: Four Mile House Cemetery at a later date.
