John B. Preston

John Bernard Preston, 55, of Fremont OH passed away on May 29, 2022.  He was born on January 21, 1967 in Kalamazoo, MI to Douglas R. Preston and Jane M. (Wisser) Runza.  John was a graduate of Hackett Catholic Central High School and later Bowling Green State University where he double majored in Accounting and Finances.  John enjoyed sports, especially football, and was a fan of the Detroit Lions. John spent much of his time listening to Classic Rock, physical training, taking long walks in nature, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and playing video games. He had a special relationship with God and kept his personal bible close to him.

John is survived by his daughter, Victoria Preston of Fremont, OH; mother and stepfather Jane and Joe Runza of Florida; grandson, Joseph Kaetzel; siblings, Michael (Jalin) Runza, Robert, Brian, and Scott Preston; step siblings, Sebastian (Olga) Runza, Francesca (Jorge) Inchaurregui, Nicholas (Denise) Runza, and Gabrielle (Bill) Marvin; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

John is preceded in death by his father.

There will be no services at this time.

Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo, MI.

Memorials may be made in his honor to his daughter, Victoria Preston.
