John A. Kohr
John A. Kohr, 70, of Fremont, OH went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2014. He was born January 5, 1944 in Toledo, OH to Linford and Kate (Vitello) Kohr. John was a 1963 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
John married Marsha Rudes on August 6, 1966 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fremont and she survives. He worked at Whirlpool Corp. as an Assembler for thirty-eight years, retiring in 2004. John was a member of Journey Church in Clyde, OH. He was an avid Ohio State fan. John was a stamp collector and bowled in previous years.
John is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Marsha Kohr, Fremont, OH; son, Kevin Kohr and grandson, A.J. Kohr both of Moline, IL; sister, Grace (Lacey) Black of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425, E. State St. Fremont, OH.
Service: Tuesday, February 4, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at Journey Church, 2095 W. Mc Pherson Hwy, Clyde, OH with one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Pastor Ken DeChant will officiate.
Burial: Four Mile House Cemetery
