Joan M. Halbeisen
Joan M. Halbeisen, 89, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home on June 26, 2020. She was born on January 10, 1931 in Fremont the daughter of Arnold and Irene (Kehn) Halbeisen. Joan was a 1949 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Joan worked at Joseph’s Department Store, Peter Eckrich Co. and then retired from Wal-Mart after over twenty-five years of service. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Friendly Singles. She enjoyed working, playing cards and reading.
Joan is survived by her sister, Jean (Bernard) Leite, Waterville, OH; sister-in-law, Barbara Halbeisen, Fremont and brother-in-law, Don Haaser of Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard A. and Richard A. Halbeisen; sister, Mary Haaser and an infant sister.
Visitation: Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH. Social distancing will be observed with wait times taking place outdoors. The family is requesting that all visitors wear masks.
