Jill M. Bauer

Jill M. Bauer, 66, of Fremont, OH passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, December 20, 2020.  She was born June 21, 1954 in Fremont, the daughter of Alvin and Mary (Shank) Stover.  She was a 1972 graduate of St. Joseph High School.  Jill married her neighbor and high school sweetheart, David Bauer, on June 30, 1972 at Sacred Heart Parish.  She was the administrative assistant for both offices of Ronald Mayle and Robert Gabel for many years.  Jill was a member of Mother’s Club (CCL) and Bunco.  She was known to be a social butterfly and enjoyed spending much of her time with her grandchildren, family and many friends.

Jill is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, David Bauer, Fremont, OH; children, Allison (Devin Jones) Bauer, Delta, OH, Geoffrey (Angela) Bauer, Canton, MI, Amy Bauer, Clyde, OH and Andrea (Douglas) Cook, Fremont, OH; siblings, Nick (Shelley) Stover, Baltimore, MD and Jane (Jim) Fawley, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Gaven “Bub” 16, Addelina 14, Samuel 14, Graciella 10, Brooklyn 10, Lauryn 9, Charlie 9, Alex 7 and Lucas 5; mother-in-law, Eileen Bauer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol (Denny) Ritchie,  Becky (Greg) Held,  Tim (Dianne) Bauer, Michelle (Mike) Gonya, all of Fremont, OH and Annette (Ernie) Stroud, Norwalk, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Christopher Michael Bauer; father-in-law, Charles Bauer; brother, Tim (Deb) Stover.

Visitation:  Wednesday, December 23, 2020, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Services are private for the family.

The use of face masks is required while indoors at all services. Social distancing will be observed throughout all services with wait times taking place outdoors.
