Jerry Jones, Sr.

Jerry Jones, Sr., 62, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born on November 22, 1954 in Hattiesburg, MS, the son of J.C. and Eliza Jane (Johnson) Jones.

Jerry worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding. He enjoyed chess, dominos, watching the news and spending time outdoors. Jerry loved sports and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.

Jerry is survived by his children, Tadara (Chandra) Jones, Hayward (Wendy) Jones, Jerry Jones, Jr. (Lora Majoy), Tiffany Jones and Reginald (Dana) Jones all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Frances (Edward) Hunter, Theodore (Brenda Faye) Rogers, Billie Jean Rogers, Linda Rogers, Martha Sue Shepard, Dwaine Rogers, Michael Rogers and Bernard Brown all of Hattiesburg, MS; many nieces and nephews; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Helen, Audrey and Margaret Jones, Willie James, Larry, Robert Earl and Henry James Jones.

Visitation: Monday, July 24, 2017, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Services will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Thad Lee officiating.

Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens
