Jerry Avalos
Jerry Avalos, 58, of Fremont, OH passed away on February 13, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on August 18, 1956 in Fremont, OH the son of Aniceto and Guadalupe (Valdez) Avalos. He received his GED and received his Certificate in Auto Mechanics from Terra Community College.
Jerry married Isabel Levario on February 26, 1980 in Saginaw, MI and she survives. He was employed at Whirlpool Corp. for twelve years. He then worked for American Auto Sales as a mechanic for over ten years. He was a jack of all trades and mentored many people. He loved to help others and enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, camping and the outdoors. Jerry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an artist and loved music, his cars and motorcycles.
Jerry is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Isabel Avalos; children, Mellanie, Monica and Jerry Avalos all of Fremont; parents, Aniceto and Guadalupe Avalos, Fremont; siblings, Maria Ranker, Sylvania, OH, Dennis Avalos, New Port Beach, CA and Jaime Avalos, Dayton, NV; grandchildren, Setheea Avalos, Dylan Brown, Alexander and Jace Avalos.
Visitation: Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, February 18, 2015; 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont
