Jeffery Lynn Binkley

Jeffery Lynn Binkley, 66, of Clyde, OH passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Jeff was born on July 21, 1956 in Fremont, OH to James L. and Patricia A. (Greeno) Binkley. Jeff served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1975 and was awarded the Marksmanship Badge.  Jeff married Naomi Beck on October 31, 1998 at the Springs in Green Springs, OH.  He worked for Pioneer Sugar in both Fremont, OH and Michigan and retired from Sun Rise Co-op.  Jeff was a member of Sons of the American Legion where he was the Sgt. at Arms for the 5

District of Ohio.  He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, Sylas and Landyn, hunting, watching NASCAR and Fox News, and playing the lottery with his youngest grandson, Johnny.  Jeff had a great sense of humor, quick wit and slue of antics and phrases that everyone enjoyed.

Jeff is survived by his wife; Naomi Binkley, children; Dana (Randy) Sorg, Justin (Brenna) Binkley, Danyel (Jon) Forney, Kathryn (Brandin) Nelson, ten grandchildren, great-granddaughter, sister; Kelly (Rollin) Hetrick, brother; Brian Binkley, uncle; Tony Gieger and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother; Ricky Lee, great nephew; James Owen Hetrick.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 211 N Broadway St, Green Springs, OH 44836.

Services will begin at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Tony Gieger officiating.

Memorials can be made in Jeff’s honor to the Sons of the American Legion Bettsville, OH or to the family.
