Janet R. Lance

Janet R. Lance, 85, of Fremont, OH passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Parkview Care Center. She was born January 21, 1932 in Fremont, OH to Gerald L. and Ruth (Schrader) Dodway.

Janet married Walter E. Lance on May 7, 1955 in Fremont, OH and he survives. She was a homemaker where she raised her three sons. Janet was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Fremont Eagles Post 712 Women’s Auxiliary.

Janet is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Walter E. Lance; sons, Jeffrey, Robert and Timothy Lance all of Fremont, OH, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Juanita Ackerman, Winona Franks, Audrey St. Pierre, Joyce Dodway, Alice Dodway and brother, Edwin Dodway.

Visitation: Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH.

Service: Wednesday, May 31, 2017, Noon at the Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Wheeler officiating.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
