James U. Fisher, 59, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on March 26, 1962 to Roman “Romie” and Ethel (Hoffman) Fisher. Jim was a 1981 graduate of St Joseph Central Catholic High School and received degrees from Stautzenberger and Terra. He was most recently a security guard for Securitas and was previously employed at Whirlpool and Progress Plastics.
Jim was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was a previous Eucharistic Minister and Alter Server. He enjoyed watching classic movies and TV shows. Jim loved spirited discussions with his family. He was a rock for his mother during his father’s illness.
Jim is survived by his mother, Ethel Fisher, Fremont, OH; siblings, Richard Fisher, Sue (James) Scharf both of Fremont, OH, Carolyn Fisher, Sandusky, OH, Elaine (Shane) Dyer, Helena, OH and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Romie Fisher; sister-in-law, Marie Fisher and many aunts and uncles.
Visitation: Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH with an hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
