James P. Bullinger, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away at Pine Grove Healthcare Center in Geneva, OH. He was born on December 26, 1950 in Fremont to Donald and Mary Ann (Kramer) Bullinger. He was a 1968 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. James served in the Army National Guard from 1970 to 1976 and was awarded the Ohio Basic Training Ribbon, Award of Merit and the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal. James was employed by Ford Motor Company as a tool and die maker for many years and retired in 2007. He was a member of the Fremont Eagles and the Fremont and Clyde Moose Lodge. In his younger years, James enjoyed drag racing. Later on, he enjoyed building computers, traveling and was a big fan of Texas Holdem. James loved spending time with his family and friends and dressing up as Santa every Christmas for Toys for Tots and the Moose.
James is survived by his children; Matthew Bullinger and Jennifer Bullinger, both of Fremont; grandchildren, Brooke Kwiatkowski and Kaiden Schade; two great grandchildren; brother; Robert Bullinger, of Virginia Beach and two nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
A Celebration of Life will follow visitation beginning at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
