James E. Boster, 78, of Lindsey, OH passed away on January 12, 2024 with his loving wife by his side at his home. He was born on December 17, 1945 the son of Earl and Gladys Boster in Sandusky, OH. Jimmy was a 1964 graduate of Port Clinton High School. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1965 to 1970 where he was awarded the National Defense Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He married Suzie Stratton in 1998 and she survives.
Jimmy was a mason tender at Davis Besse until he retired in 1982. He was an ordained minister and served at the Sandusky Soup Kitchen and Cherry Street Mission. Jimmy was a master crafter and built many model cars. He also enjoyed going to the races. He was a life member of the VFW and served as the Chaplain for the past eleven years.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Suzie Boster, Lindsey; children, Michelle Waldren, Perrysburg, Shane Boster, Columbus and Jimmy Boster Jr, Port Clinton and sister, Pam Whitten, Port Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date at the Fremont V.F.W.
