Jack C. Berryman, 84, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Rutherford House in Fremont. He was born on February 27, 1932 in Clyde, OH to Samuel and Ada (Schmitz) Berryman.
Jack married Mary Coon on June 10, 1952 at Hayes United Methodist Church and she survives. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Jack worked at Arkies Gulf in Fremont. He also worked at Spector Mid States in Clyde, OH. He then worked at U.P.S. as a Mechanic until he retired. Jack loved auto racing, camping, fishing and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jack is survived by his wife of over sixty-four years, Mary Berryman; children, Eileen (Bob) Hammer, Bruce (Judy) Berryman, Jeff (Sue) Berryman, all of Fremont, OH and Pam (Jeff) Beier of Powell, OH; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian S. Berryman; brother, Lamar Berryman; foster mother, Hazel Hopkins.
Visitation: Sunday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, February 13, 2017, 10:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Alan Brown officiating.
Burial: McGormely Cemetery with military honors provided by the V.F.W. and American Legion.
