Helene L. Rathbun

Helene L. Rathbun, 80, of Fremont, OH passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont. She was born on February 16, 1933 in Green Springs, OH, the daughter of Herbert B. and Ada E. (Tusing) Rathbun.

Helene was a graduate of Green Springs High School and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University. She taught at Croghan Elementary School for thirty years and retired in 1989.

Helene was an active member of East Side Presbyterian Church. She was a Life member of both Sandusky County Retired Teachers and Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed traveling.

Helene is survived by her sister, Janice (Lloyd) Borer of Tiffin, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Ann Kline.

Visitation: Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

Service: Monday, October 14, 2013, 10:30 am at the funeral home with Celebrant Thomas Horvath officiating.

Burial: Green Springs Cemetery.
