Helen L. Dobie
Helen L. Dobie, 96, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Promedica Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 31, 1917 in Wayne, OH, the daughter of John Henry and Olive Grace (Ottney) Sielschott.
Helen married Harold L. Dobie on August 29, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She loved to sew and was a seamstress for Howard Zink Corporation as well as Bintz’s and Richard’s Department Stores until she retired in 1984. She was a member of the Fremont Senior Center. Helen also enjoyed traveling, her grandchildren’s sporting events and playing cards and going out to eat with her friends.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Ronald) Kluck, Fremont, OH; daughter-in-law, Erica Bork, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Troy (Lela) Kluck, Todd Kluck, Tracy Kluck, Tad (Toni) Kluck, Eric (Donna) Bork and Alex Jones; great grandchildren, Shane, Shawn and Shelby Kluck, Megan Cooks, Brady and Tori Kluck, Nichole Schmitt and Jennifer Pratt, Joseph and DJ Bork, Crystal and Orian Neels and seven great-great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her special extended family, Janice and Willie Spann, Nick and Janie Rodriguez, Samantha Kane and Kitty Widman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold L. Dobie; son, Edward C. Bork; granddaughter, Lorraine Pratt; brother, Paul Sielschott; sisters, Thelma Clauve, Iona Sortor, Irene Maillard, Neva Reed, Carrie Ames and Phyllis Affholder.
Visitation: Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
Service: Monday, November 3, 2014; 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Young.
Burial: West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg, OH
