Hazel K. Fisher, 101, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont. She was born on March 18, 1917 in Green Springs, OH to Reuben and Clara (Sweazey) Leichty. She was a 1935 graduate of Green Springs High School.
Hazel married Ralph L. Fisher on July 2, 1938 in Luckey, OH and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1976. She worked at Fremont Jr. High School as a Matron and retired in 1982 after twenty-two years of service.
Hazel was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was on the Guild and Crusaders Class. She volunteered for many years at Share and Care and loved her roses and working in her yard.
Hazel is survived by daughter-in-law, Nancy Fisher, grandchildren, Mickey A. Fisher and Bonnie L. (Tom) Pratt all of Fremont; three great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph L. Fisher; son, Frederick A. Fisher; two brothers, four half-brothers, three half-sisters, one step-sister and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Click officiating.
Burial: Green Springs Cemetery
