Hazel C. Schrock

Hazel C. Schrock, 101, of Green Springs, OH passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont, OH.  Hazel was born in Green Creek Township to Joseph and Caroline (Gahn) Hammer.  She was a 1939 graduate of Clyde High School.  Hazel married Carl Schrock on September 3, 1940 in Rudolph, OH and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2003.  Hazel was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church and the VFW Post 6067.  She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, crossword puzzles and journaling.

Hazel is survived by her children, Gerald (Carol) Schrock, of Massachusetts, Judy (Larry) Emery, of Arizona, Debra (Jim) Whited, of Kentucky, David (Jane) of Arizona; seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; siblings, Wilson Hammer, Johnny Hammer, Theodore Hammer, Anna Messinger, Catherine Creager and Genevieve Nickloy.

A private burial will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 12, 2023.  Please check back closer to the date for the time and place of service and for floral arrangements.
