Fremont

We are heartbroken to announce the death of Gregory Scott Boring, 60, of Fremont, Ohio. He passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2024. He was born on January 24, 1963, in Springfield, Ohio, to Dean and Nancy (Johnson) Boring. He was an animal lover, an avid Ohio State Football fan, and loved to throw darts. He loved motorcycles and fast cars. Sarge never met a stranger.

Greg served in the United States Army. He earned multiple awards and was honorably discharged. He went to trade school and was a diesel mechanic after his Service. He took pride in doing a hard day’s work for an honest wage. He served as a Union Steward and strongly supported the Union. He took early retirement from H.J. Heinz as a forklift driver.

Greg is survived by his parents, Dean and Nancy Boring; siblings, Chris Boring and Kelly (Richard) Zeller, all of Springfield, Ohio, Heather (Richard) Boring-Runyan, Centerburg, Ohio; and three nephews, Luke Zeller, Colby Zeller, and Camden Runyan.

There are no services at this time.

Memorials can be made in Greg’s honor to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, located at 1315 North River Rd. Fremont, Ohio 43420.

As I whisper, “I love you,” I believe somehow you can still hear me. We will miss and love you always.
