Graham Michael Moor ( aka “Artist Artest”), 30, of Dayton, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday night, March 21, 2025, in Beavercreek, OH. Graham was born in the Cleveland, OH, area on March 6, 1995, and was the beloved son of John and Marty (Wolf) Moor. At the time of his death, he was pursuing one of his great loves—professional wrestling.
Like Duncan, his older brother, Graham was a chosen child who came to share a permanent place in the grateful hearts of his parents on June 9, 1995, when he was three-months old.
Graham was a 2013 graduate of Fremont Ross High School/Vanguard Vocational School. During his high school years, Graham excelled in swimming and was a four-year letter winner in the sport, becoming a state qualifier in 2013. Through his hard work and dedication, Graham became an outstanding butterflyer and was affectionately referred to as “The Fly Guy,” at least by his proud parents. Also in 2013, Graham and his 200-freestyle relay team set the school record in that event, which still stands today. His prowess in the pool earned him a swimming scholarship to Wright State University in Dayton, OH, where he swam competitively for one year.
Academically, Graham spent two years at Wright State and then completed his coursework through Bowling Green State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology. Professionally, he was employed as an IT specialist by Speedway and Perry proTECH of Sidney, OH. In 2019, Graham became the Department of IT’s Cybersecurity Engineer for the city of Dayton where he worked until recently when he left for a new position at RegEd, which was to begin on March 31.
In addition to spending time with his two Pitties—Raiden and Kratos—Graham enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends, and bodybuilding, which lead him to pursue his love for professional wrestling. For his wrestling personae, he used the name Artist Artest, the villain who everyone loved to hate. A week before his death, Graham claimed the Next Generation Champion championship belt.
Above all else, Graham will be remembered for his ever-present smile and his vibrant laugh that seem to take up all the space in any room he was in. He loved his friends, and they loved him in return. For several years, he hosted FriendsGiving at his home where everyone was made to feel like family. At one time or another, he was active in the community, canvassing for candidates, protesting injustices, and delivering care packages to the needy.
In life, as in swimming and wrestling, Graham went the distance in a short time.
Graham is survived by his parents, John and Marty Moor, Fremont, OH; aunts, Lynn (John) Duncan, Olathe, KS; Lora Wolf and Mary Wolf, both of Petoskey, MI; his dear friend, Ashley Duncan, of Dayton, OH; his biological mother and several half-brothers and half-sisters; many cousins and second cousins; Raiden and Kratos; and a life-time’s-worth of friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Duncan; his grandmother, Edmee Moor; grandparents, Tom and Evie Wolf; uncles Tommy Wolf and Steve Brundage; and cousin Mark Strausbaugh II.
