Gloria A. Rakay

Gloria A. Rakay, 80, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. She was born on February 28, 1936 in Fremont, OH, the daughter of John and Esther (Long) Broski.

Gloria married Robert James Rakay, Sr. on August 22, 1953 at St. Michael’s Church in Gibsonburg and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2014. She was a Homemaker. Gloria enjoyed cooking and baking.

Gloria is survived by his children, Robert J., Rakay, Jr., Stephen Rakay, Timothy (Sarah) Rakay, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Robert (Sarah) Rakay III, Richard Rakay, Sabra (Brad) Keller, Matthew (Lauren), Daniel (Diana), Liliana and Mariska Rakay; great grandchildren, Cora, Abby and Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert James Rakay, Sr.; infant sons, Thomas and Anthony Rakay.

Visitation: Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.

A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
