Gerald “Jerry” E. Dohanos

Gerald “Jerry” E. Dohanos, 78, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born in Fremont, OH on October 27, 1946 to Andrew and Norma (Beckberger) Dohanos. Jerry was a 1966 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. 

Jerry married Carol Brockschmidt on August 29, 1968 and she preceded him in death on April 13, 2022. He worked at Montgomery Ward for many years and retired from Advantage Ford after many years of service. He was a member of the Fremont Baptist Church and enjoyed working on cars and going to the Fremont Speedway to watch the races. 

Jerry is survived by his son-in-law, Larry Miller and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carol Dohanos; daughter, Kathryn Lynn Miller; brother, Larry Dohanos, sisters, Jeanne Pogorzelski and Sandra Sorg.

A graveside service will take place at Greenlawn Memory Garden at a later date.
