Gary L. Wargowsky “Wargy”

Gary L. “Wargy” Wargowsky, 72, of Fremont, OH passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH.  He was born January 7, 1950, in Port Clinton, OH to Carl H. and Dorothy (Schwackenwalde) Wargowsky.  Gary graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1968, he then attended Bowling Green State University for 3 years.  He later retired from Heinz Distribution Center (Fremont Logistics) on July 16, 2016, after 16 ½ years of service.  Gary was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and V.F.W. in Fremont, OH.

He was an avid Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and NASCAR fan.  Gary loved his cats, Blackie, JJ, Lucky and Hammie.

Gary is survived by his brother, Charles (Cindy) Wargowsky of Oak Harbor, OH; brother-in-law, Larry Lieske of Chillicothe, OH, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Ann Lieske.

Visitation:  Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a celebration of life ceremony to follow at 6:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township, OH at a later date.
