Gale H. Emery

Gale H. Emery, 92, of Clyde, OH passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Ohio Living Swan Creek Nursing Home in Toledo, Oh. He was born November 11, 1927 in Columbus, OH to Hollis Gale and Wanna Rachel (Hartsock) Emery.

Gale served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from December 11, 1945 to October 21, 1947 aboard the USS Tarawa and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal.

He married Bonita Ruth Hoff on February 12, 1949 in Green Springs, OH and she preceded him in death on December 25, 2001. Gale was a self-employed contractor his whole life.

Gale is survived by his children, Rae Anne Brooks, Indianapolis, IN, Gary (Lynn) Emery, Fremont, OH, Mitchell (Marie) Emery, Maumee, OH, Dana (Lena) Emery, Green Springs, OH and Brian (Lori) Emery, Delaware, OH; sister, Marjorie Lou Shock, Gahanna, OH and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonita Emery and sister, Shirley Ann Kifer.

Services are private for family.
