Franklin A. Humburg, 96, of Fremont, OH passed away on June 4, 2022 at Valleyview Health Campus. He was born on November 23, 1925 in Fremont, OH the son of Frank and Irene (Burns) Humburg. He was a graduate of Ross High School in 1944. Frank married Virginia Heimbaugh on October 25, 1948 and she preceded him in death in 1979.
Frank grew up farming with his family. He worked at Union Carbide for forty-three years retiring as a foreman. Frank served his nation as a machinist in World War II. He enjoyed shooting, woodworking, and spending time with friends. He was always on top of the weather conditions and could be your own personal weatherman. Frank was entertained by country western movies and music. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Throughout his life Frank was constantly educating himself. He liked to stay current with new developments in the world. He wasn’t afraid of trying something new and lived with an open and logical mind. Anyone who spent time with Frank knows how endearing he was. His wit and humor were a pleasure to experience. He will be dearly missed.
Frank is survived by his grandchildren, Erik (Jennifer) Humburg, Fremont and Brenna (Javier Ramos) Humburg, Riverside, CA; great grandchildren, Brystanna, Lyzelle and Gianna Humburg and Javier M Ramos; brother, James (Katie) Humburg, Fremont; son-in-law, Jim Feidler and daughter-in-law, Connie Riehl.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Humburg and children, Michael Humburg and Karen Feidler.
Visitation: Friday, June 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH with a service to follow at Noon.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH.
