Frances A. Rucker-Mims, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Columbus, OH on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. She was born on February 3, 1943 in Newbern, TN to the late James and Ella (Sharp) Kindle.
During her eighty years, Frances had many accomplishments. She was the business owner of Frans Barbershop. Frances was an avid bowler and golfer. She was honored by the Dyer County, TN American Cancer Society (ACS) for her dedication to their Look Good Feel Better Program. She was also a Reach to Recovery Program for ACS. Frances received a Certificate of Recognition from the Disabled Veterans of American organization. She became a home health aide hospice assistant in 1994, receiving many awards for her volunteer work with hospice including several awards from the Presidents Council on Service and Civic Participation. Frances was a former member of the Imperial Court Daughter of Isis Mecca Court 73, Toledo, OH.
Frances leaves to cherish her memory; children, Marcella Kindle, Columbus, OH, James (Pam) Kindle, Fremont, OH, Karen (Ray) Hamilton, Nashville, TN, Greg Rucker, Fremont, OH; siblings, Tommy Kindle, Serle (Lacy) Mims, Louise (Bill) Greene, all of Newbern, TN, Donnie (Diane) Kindle, Ferndale, WA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews down to the 3
rd
generation.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ella Kindle, sons, Jeffrey Gentry and Willie Gentry Jr.; daughter, Rosalind Rucker- Bulger; great grandson, Trevon Kindle; siblings, Jeff Ricky and R.B. Kindle.

Visitation will take place Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at First Baptist Missionary Church, 1699 Dickinson St. Fremont, OH 43420.
Services will follow visitation at 2 p.m. at the church.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorials can be made in Frances’s honor to American Cancer Society.
