Ernest Ray Headrick

Ernest “Ray” Headrick, 79, formerly of Tiffin, OH passed away on March 3, 2015 at his son’s home in Clyde, OH. He was born on March 11, 1935 in Knox Co., TN the son of Roxie (Headrick) Dunn. He married Dorothy A. Buck on May 24, 1962 and she preceded him in death on February 28, 1992. He then married Dorothy J. Lovell on January 8, 1993 and she preceded him in death on March 1, 2013.

Ray worked as a car man for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for twenty-seven years until he retired in 1987. He enjoyed watching the news and old westerns. He loved to work on cars, travel the country, spending time with his grandchildren and his cat, Booger.

Ray is survived by his sons, Richard (Joanna) Headrick, Tiffin and Faron (Dani Tremain) Headrick, Clyde; brother, James Moore, Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Amber Headrick, Richard Headrick, Jr., Chynna (Nicholas) Naimool and Brittany Headrick and great grandchildren, Dakota Headrick and Asher Naimool.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dorothy A. Headrick; second wife, Dorothy J. Headrick and son, Kenneth Headrick.

Visitation: Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 211 N. Broadway St., Green Springs, OH

Service: Friday, March 6, 2015; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Cemetery: Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Clyde, OH
