Ernest L. Blohm, Jr.

Ernest L. Blohm, Jr., 69, of Fremont, OH passed away on January 7, 2022 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, OH.  He was born on May 27, 1952 in Shelby, MI the son of Ernest L. and Arlene (Priese) Blohm, Sr.  He married Deborah Cress on November 12, 1977 in Fremont, OH and she survives.  Ernie retired as a Thermit Welder from Norfolk and Southern Railroad after thirty-three years of service in 2010.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and boating.  Ernie was also a diehard University of Michigan fan and loved to spend time with his family.

Ernie is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Deborah Blohm; children, Kelly Shaffer, Kenneth (Nichole Mancour) Blohm and Kamee (Chad) Plough all of Fremont; grandchildren, Dylan Blohm, Tristin Turner, Dalton Blohm, Reagan Shaffer, Taylor and Trenton Plough; siblings, Tom Blohm, Port Clinton, Jeff (Kathy) Blohm, Fremont, Carl (Cindy) Blohm, Zeeland, MI and Kevin (Kerri Osborn) Blohm, Allendale, MI.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Wednesday, January 12, 2022; 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH

Memorials can be made to the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
