Eloise F. Cherry

Eloise F. Cherry, 71, of Mt. Sterling, KY passed away on August 29, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at University of Kentucky Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on June 16, 1948 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Clark) Sabo.

Eloise attended Fremont Ross High School. She moved to central Kentucky in 2003 and spent most of the next sixteen years there. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and dogs. She also enjoyed gardening, collecting angels and windchimes.

Eloise was loved beyond measure and the effects of her kindness and generosity and pure giving spirit can be felt across four generations. She is already missed.

Eloise is survived by her children, Donell (Jamie) Sanderson Ray, Clay City, KY, Donald (Christin) Cherry, Jr., Green Springs, OH, David (Marie) Cherry, Bellevue and Lisa Cherry, Mt. Sterling, KY; siblings, Bernice Ochs, JoAnn Sabo, Teri Peterson and Steve Sabo all of Fremont, OH and Tim Sabo, Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Cyle, Ryan, Jennifer, Andrew, Robert, Adam, Jill Ann, Alexa, Joseph, Amber, Miranda, Maranda, Allie, Destiny, Caleb, Megan, Austin, Trinity, Trevor and Trenton; thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She follows into heaven her parents; daughter, Sandi Moore Darr; grandson, Dylan Cherry and aunt, Donna Everett.

Visitation: Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Thursday, September 5, 2019; 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH at a later date.
