Edward “Ed” Charles Foose

Edward “Ed” Charles Foose, 89, of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully at home with family by his side, on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.  He was born on November 11, 1931 in Cleveland, OH to Charles Elliott and Eleanor (Fricker) Foose.  He was a graduate of West High School.   Ed served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal w/3 Bronze Stars; the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

He married Shirley Ann Reynolds on August 23, 1952 and she preceded him in death on October 17, 1968.  Ed married Irma Edith Benick on May 30, 1976 and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2010.  Ed was the chief engineer at Nickles Bakery for over twenty years and retired on January 7, 1994. He enjoyed working in his shop, woodworking and making crafts.

Ed is survived by his children, Edward “Eddie” Foose, Fremont, OH, Linda Harmon of California, Barbara Tablett, Wooster, OH, Kenneth Foose of Fremont, Lori Bowersock, Wooster, OH; siblings, Charles Foose, John Foose, , Kenny Foose all of Cleveland, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1

wife, Irma Edith Foose; siblings, David Foose, Michael Foose, Frank Foose, Doris Saniti and Eleanor Bond.

Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273 on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
