Edna R. Nelson

Edna R. Nelson, 89, of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Parkview Care Center. She was born December 15, 1924 in New Lexington, OH, the daughter of W.C. and Marguerite (McKinney) Davisson. She was a 1942 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Edna married Orville Lankford on June 1, 1945. She then married Reed Nelson on February 13, 1968 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1987. She was a Quality Control Inspector at Eaton Controls for many years until she retired.

Edna attended Grace Community Church and enjoyed bowling, crocheting, needle work, traveling and camping.

Edna is survived by her sons, James (Brenda) Lankford of Fremont, OH and David (Cathy) Lankford of Miamisburg, OH; grandchildren, Kimberlie Myers, Karrie (Richard) Stull, Krista (Jon) Beaber, Korie (Anthony) Lather, Lara Lankford, Dawn (Monte) Brock and Craig Lankford; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reed Nelson; brothers, Eric, Edwin and Eldon Davisson.

Visitation: Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.

Service: Saturday, November 15, 2014; 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Pinkerton officiating.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
