Edith V. Watruba, 86, of N. Prospect St, Fremont, OH passed away at home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. She was born on February 3, 1926 in Defiance, OH, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Drew) Dodson.
Edith married Bernard D. Watruba, Sr. on June 21, 1946 in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1990. Edith attended Troy Welding School in Troy, MI and worked at Davidson Enamel during WWII. She then worked at Quikut Inc. in Fremont as a Sharpener and retired in 1988 after thirty-five years of service.
Edith was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed working in her flower garden, reading, dancing, swimming and fishing.
Edith is survived by her children, Bernard D. (Janet) Watruba, Jr., Linda (Samuel) Heishman, Robert Watruba, Shirley D. Heberling, all of Fremont, OH, Jackie (Rolland) Drown, Sr., Green Springs, OH; grandchildren, Bernard Watruba III, Matthew and David Watruba, Michael (Francessa) Watruba, Samantha Heishman, Rhonda (Donald) Sumpter, Rolland (Anna) Drown, Jr., Daniel Heberling, Sherry (Ed) Wilson, David Heberling, Tracey (Matthew) Hushour, Angela (Michael) Nix, Jennifer (Kenneth) Millerschone; twenty-eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard D. Watruba, Sr.; brothers, Ralph, Lester, Jesse, Donald, Paul, and Bernard Dodson; sisters, Luella Waldon and Helen Myers; granddaughter, Catherine Baker.
