Earl David Frymire

Earl David Frymire, 67 of Fremont, OH passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 27, 2023.  He was born on January 25, 1956 in San Jose, CA the son of Earl and Jessie (Nason) Frymire, Jr.  Dave attended Fremont Ross High after moving from California where he then joined the Navy at the age of seventeen.  He did two tours in Vietnam and was released from the Navy in 1976. Dave then reenlisted and attached to a special boat unit in 1977 where he served four and half years on Seal Team 6 and was honorably discharged from the Navy on August 21, 1981. He was awarded the National Defense Medal as well as other accommodations. While proudly serving his Country he was exposed to Agent Orange which led to his passing.

After his career in the Navy, he then began a career as an owner/operator truck driver for over twenty years. Later in life he reconnected and found love. He then married Kim (MacDonald) on October 30, 2020. Dave enjoyed old rock and roll (LOUD), fishing (and talking about fishing) He always enjoyed laughing with family and friends and what he enjoyed most in life was driving on the open road. He was someone you could always come to for advice, and his greatest joy in life were his children and grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his wife, Kim Frymire, Fremont, OH; children, Shawna Frymire, of New York, Jessica Artiaga, Toledo, OH, Matt (Lori) Frymire, Rossford, OH, Nicole Frymire, Fremont, OH, Steven Frymire, Toledo, OH, Levi Spencer, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Shyanna, Nicholas, Nina, Landen, Aubin, Adrie, Kelsey, Logan, Jaylynn; sister, Luci Frymire and loving companion dog, Doobie. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Joseph Frymire and Lewis Lidke.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.

A graveside service will follow visitation on Wednesday beginning at 2:30 at McGormley Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the VFW and American Legion.

Memorials can be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
